Trying to get Ashlee to commit to a family birthday dinner to celebrate her Bday on the 24th was difficult at best. Nothing the rest of us deemed 'tasty' sounded good to her. Hmmm. She finally settled on of all things... A COLD CEREAL BAR. That's right. Sugar Pops. Fruit Loops. Frosted Flakes. Frosted Mini Wheats. Honeycomb. Honey Bunches of Oats and more. I felt almost guilty in the preparation department. It's her favorite thing to eat in the world. Wonderfully empty calories that leave you hungry in 15 minutes... topped off with hot fudge brownie sundaes. We had sugar highs and jitters while we played four square. Happy Birthday Ashlee!
Josh received his Patriarchal Blessing Sunday. It is a personal blessing that members of our church receive to help guide us in our lives. Each blessing is different & inspired from God and if we stay close to the Lord we will be guided in all areas of our lives. I read mine often and can look back and see the hand of God in my life. Struggles yes, but the strength to get through them also. We were thankful we could be there for him and know that the guidance he was given will bring him happiness throughout his life. I believe he will have a good one. We love you Josh!
