Celebrating Abby #14

Our Abby is 14 years old today. The baby in our family... everyone's baby. She has four older sister's that have watched over her along with Larry & I. She has blossomed into a remarkable young woman with a dry sense of humor and good sense of who she is... still on the shy side. Today we made her favorite dinner of Baby Back Ribs & Cheesy Potatoes and played games.

Abby's Early Morning Bday Breakfast

We surprised Abby with an early morning breakfast with her friends... a complete surprise for our birthday girl when they went downstairs to wake her up... but a great way to start her birthday off! We made yummy crepes and a mountain man casserole. Afterwards, everyone sang and talked with helium and then they were off to play Rock Band for hours. Happy #14 Abby!

Celebrating Kelsie #18

Kelsie is 18 today. Both Larry & I wonder how she got here so quickly. It seems just two blinks ago she was so shy and buried in books from the library. She brings us such joy, along with plenty of singing, dancing & giggling at home. She loves the bracelet that Josh made her and the fact that he gets to spend his Spring Break from Michigan here is the best present of all for her. Paul has been making her a hope chest for the past couple of months and surprised her with it tonight... it is made with such love from him and is beautiful beyond words. She is already thinking of what to put in it for the future. We all spent time together and made her favorite dinner of meatloaf, mashed potatoes & sour cream cabbage and played games.

Kelsie's Bday Breakfast

Josh surprised Kelsie with an early morning wake up and took her to IHop for breakfast in her pj's. By the smile on her face, it was a great way to start her 18th birthday :)

Little Poser

Conrad is one good-natured, goofy boy that is so much like his Dad. What a blessing he will be to this world. He is now officially a poser. All I have to do is get my camera out and he instantly tips his head to the side and smiles for me... of course this may be a sign that I take too many pictures of him. But, how do you stop?

One Eye Open

This week I am staying close to home. Some call it babysitting or chaperoning, I just call it being home where I love to be. Josh is visiting from Michigan for his spring break, yes for Kelsie but the rest of us are sure glad to see him too... Trips to UVU as we figure out the college system, making b-day presents, watching movies, making dinner together, hanging around home & listening to music, checking in with Pebbles here and there and trying my best to stay away from the constant news of politics and the economy... which seems to be affecting everyone. We continue to pray and cross our fingers & toes.

Tonight we watched 'Fireproof'. Larry & I both really liked it. Josh said he thought it was kinda dumb and awkward, but I know he liked it because he stayed awake for the whole movie... I wish they made more movies like this with good stories.

Conference Sunday

Ash & I got home last night and are settling back in. It always takes a while. This weekend is Conference Weekend for the LDS church. It's held every six months, once in the fall and again in the spring. Four hours of inspired counsel & talks from our church leaders to help guide us for the next six months. It's always a good weekend to stay home and gather the family together. We go to Larry's Mom & Dad's for Sunday dinner after. Josh made it here from Michigan on Saturday to spend his spring break with Kelsie. It's nice to have him here.
