Celebrating Phoebe

We gathered at the park to celebrate Phoebe. An amazing one year old... doesn't time go by too quickly? It feels like she has been a part of our lives forever. Katie took her in for the yearly doctor visit and she is at the 2.3% in weight... such a tiny thing. Yet mighty!

With Conrad in the hospital this past week, we all pitched in quickly and helped Katie prepare for her special day. Kelsie & Abby sewed her birthday dress, we baked cupcakes, blew up balloons, made banners... When it was time to open presents, Ransom could not get her Cabbage Patch Doll out quickly enough for Phoebe. Once out, Phoebe held on tightly to her new friend that she will hopefully love a lifetime. She loved the books too and wanted Ransom to read to her. Ashlee crochet her cute little shoes for her feet. This morning, Conrad was little mermaid and played on a huge rock with a "Dinglehopper" (pine needles). He would gladly sing when asked :)

Thank you, thank you! Sure wish I could have been there...I still can't believe she's one. Love her dress and all the bright colors. I'll love it even more when i get to hold her :) The Birrells look good. What a blessing to have great grandma and grandpa there.
