2009 Birrell Family Reunion Day 1

The annual Birrell family reunion started today and we looked forward to spending time with each other. This year, Larry & I were in charge of it. There are 7 siblings in his family and this year we missed Angie & Dennis, Kathy & Mike and their families. We planned the reunion for Larry's Mom & Dad's backyard and kept things very simple this year.

Memories of Day 1:
Playing golf scramble in the morning, homemade Cafe Rio salads, slip-n-slide kickball with the damaged grass that will take the rest of the year to mend (thanks Julie & Hal), all day swimming for most of the cousins, going for runs to get more soda pop, water volleyball, playing colored eggs in the pool, plenty of farmer tans, Ransom losing his wedding ring and everyone trying to find it, kids decorating sugar cookies & christmas ornaments (thanks Scott & Jill), Scum, grilled hamburger bar, going to Johnson's House to ride the horses, playing basketball & crochet, gathering for street fireworks, ice cream bar and having the BEST time running through the streets and playing fugitive until midnight (thanks Cameron).

If you and Larry were in charge of the reunion, it had to have been a memory filled time. Loved all your activities and pictures, especially the farmers tan men:)
