YW Cooking 101

Tonight our Laurel's from church came over and we made homemade chicken fingers & oven fries, tossed salad and chocolate malts. As hard as it is to believe, many are leaving home in the next couple of years and these basic skills will come in handy... skills that I sure didn't have when I married (my own fault). It was a fun night and something I think we will do again soon.

Good idea. Our ward designates one Wed. a month to some type of homemaking skill, be it cooking, baking, sewing, cleaning. The more they know and learn now the easier it will be for them in a few years.

What a great opportunity for these young girls, to learn homemaking skills. Sure wish we had something like that out here. Sadly, many of these skills are not taught in the home anymore. I'll be praying over this.
