Saturday Spent Creating

Today we spent the afternoon at Pebbles working on projects. Ashlee & Kelsie are working on scrapbooks pages, Lindsey is picking out paper to make a gazillion cards with help from Katie, Kelsie is working on her All About Me book and I am almost done with our 2008 Birrell Family Reunion photobook. We took a healthy lunch, but dreamed of the chocolate shakes at Arby's next door... which we did without. It was relaxing and nice to just be together creating. I thought I could pat my hair down and get another day out of it, but it is clear to see that it needed more than a pat. Oh well.

Then I rode my bike over to Ashlee's and watched her make her homemade version of the Girl Scout Samoa cookies. They were as yummy as they were beautiful and the ones she brought over later were very difficult to share... so I did what had to be done. I hid some in the cupboard.

Those cookies look "to die for!" Ashlee, you are becoming quite the baker. All you girls are so beautiful, mom included. I send you my hugs and love. Miss you.

Those cookies DO look good! I think those are my favorite Girl Scout cookies. Strange, I don't remember seeing any girl scouts this year.

Is this a cookie recipe that can be shared? Samoas are my absolute FAVORITE! P.S. Way to be strong by passing on the chocolate shakes on your play day (later post). You are such an example!
