Valentines Day

Lindsey surprised us with yummy heart pancakes this morning. She was quite impressed with herself and seemed to talk about them non-stop throughout the day. She even saved a few on a plate just to look at.

As we made plans today, Abby immediately insisted that she would not be going skiing or snow shoeing with us. Period. It didn't help that she was overly tired from the night before. We did what most parents would do with a 14 year old... we made her come and trusted that some fresh air in the mountains would bring a smile to that cute face of hers... which it did every time she threw a snowball at someone. We packed a lunch and ended up on the Alpine Loop. It was a beautiful day, a little on the cold side. Larry surprised me on this day for lovers with Mi Ranchitos to go for dinner and we settled in for the night and got caught up on Lost and Psych. We love just being home.
