The Burn

There is a little old house around the corner from us that has held the memories of families through the years. For the past couple of years it's been vacant and has become the fascination of every curious kid in the neighborhood. The house was filled with wonderful discoveries and eventually has been deemed a creepy, scary house made all the more so when neighbors said it was off limits... keep out! Of course the kids would sneak in. The firemen showed up this week to prep it for a practice burn and told us that the burn would happen on Saturday. We were so excited to watch. Today, Paul called Ash and told her they burned it down without a crowd control problem as we all had Saturday circled on the calendar. We hated to miss it, but are happy that Paul took pictures! All I can think is how temporary life really is and how we need to keep our focus on the important things.

That is so creepy. I agree, life is so temporary. Just think, someone at sometime lived there, grew-up there and made a life there. And "poof" it's gone.

Hey Becky
Yes I played the parental card and used them, as it was my memory too. I am glad Paul was there to take pictures. Love you!
