Christmas Shopping Day 1

Larry and I went Christmas shopping tonight and it went better than I thought it would as two non-shoppers went out together. Some people can go shopping and figure out what they want to get their loved ones as they shop along. I have never been able to do that. I like to think and get it right in my head before I venture out. The stores were nearly empty, which tells me it will be a struggling year for retailers. Right now our goal is to get the shopping done before Thanksgiving Day and then spend the Christmas season being with family & friends, thoughtful service and playing in the snow (hopefully we'll get plenty). Of course there are always bumps along the way, but we are getting a good start. Tomorrow night we are venturing out again :)

I'm not a huge shopper either. I have to go with a detailed list of what gifts I need from each store and who will be recieving them. Once I get caught up in the moment, I love it. It's just the anticipation and planning that gets me.

Perfectly said about how I feel.I have to get my brain on paper and then I'm not so stressed.
