Is this anyway to roast a weinie?

We roasted hotdogs Sunday and I would have to say that watching Ashlee try to make a hot dog palatable was an eye opening, disturbing experience. She has struggled with meat for years, most especially thick chunks of meat. Her solution was to scoop out the insides of her weinie, leaving a very thin hotdog skin that flapped in the wind. It was painful to watch.
