quick trip to emergency

A quick trip to the emergency room with Kelsie on Sunday night. Out of her mind itching with an allergic reaction to medication, followed with slight difficulty in swallowing. They gave her some things that would help her rest, monitored her for a while and sent us home. A couple of days later, I told her I was much relieved that we went to the ER. Wait until you get the bill, she said. I told her that they could take everything we have and she would still be worth it. When it comes to our kids, I think most parents would agree :)

happy birthday lindsey!

We celebrated Lindsey's Bday on Sunday with a dinner of her favorite beef tenderloin and alfredo sauce over buttered noodles... sounds good enough for a recipe book doesn't it? It was yummy! Then her sisters and I surprised her with maternity clothes that she modeled for us. She got plenty of help blowing out her candles :) Love you so much Lindsey!

and the walls come tumbling down...

I am working hard at simplifying life... This is new to me as I talk a lot about it, yet have never been able to quite grasp it. It always feels just out of my reach. Frustrating. With Larry working at the hospital now, the kids with their growing families, grandkids & school something has to change. Pebbles is now 20 years old and it is time to make it fit into our family life better and turn it into a business that I can more easily manage. There are a lot of ideas floating around in my head...

After much pondering, I have decided to place half of Pebbles for lease. We only use half of our 7,000sq ft. I signed this past week with a clothing boutique company 'House of Denim'. That's right... we will soon have two boutique businesses under one roof. So the tear down and clearing out of the basement has begun. Oh my! How 20 years of business does pile up! Everyone in the family has pitched in and helped just as they always have through the years... the guys seemed to really like demolishing the walls. Together is a good place to be. I am on the right pathway and am excited for the changes we are making.

our jack @ 2 weeks

We are all in love with Jack. The masks are coming in handy as we have all taken our turns being sick this week. Ash & Paul are keeping him home and watching over him and make sure that everyone around him is healthy and have sanitized hands. Nana left for Tennessee this morning and we had a wonderful time just being together. Thank you for coming! I believe her favorite times were just holding this new little one. We are still pinching ourselves that he really is here and are so very thankful!

home

Ashlee and Paul are getting settled in and have now joined the sleep deprived world. My favorite time is going over and holding Jack while she takes a nap. Heaven!

day 2 for jack

Amazing what a day will do for a newborn baby... skin is less mottled, head shape completely changes and they are a bit more perfect, as if that is possible? Time has stopped for us as we enjoy time bonding with our new little one. We still pinch ourselves continually and thank God always that he is here. He will grow up in love...

jack raymond ward

Born January 23 at 11:44 pm to Ashlee and Paul. No words yet, just feeling more than our share of gratitude to God for this child in our lives. Our feet have yet to touch the ground.
