Quail Family Adopts

Josh called and said he found baby quail that had been abandoned by their mom. They had fallen in their basement window well. He brought them over and we let them go in our backyard with the mom and baby quail we had and we crossed our fingers. Honestly, where would we be without Google? I learned that quail mom's rarely take on other babies because they lack water and food, so Josh quickly picked up some bird feed. We now have large lids of water and ground up cocktatiel food sitting around the backyard and so far so good... the two sizes of babies are following after her... and they are just about the cutest things I have laid my eyes on.
