dipping eggs

The box lies. Every year we pick out a box that shows brightly colored eggs and every year there is disappointment when a few of the colors turn out to be a soft pastel, no matter how long they sit in the cup. Nothing like the picture. Each year, I vow to find a way to make mind blowing bright colored eggs and have yet to follow through with it. And so... we keep buying these boxes. It is madness.  I know it isn't a life altering issue. But I am really tired of it. This year, we grabbed our dyes  and doctored them up a bit which helped. If anyone has ideas... pass them on please :)

I haven't dyed eggs for years as the boys are all grown. Remember when we used to put masking tape all over and dip them in two different colors? I think vinegar usually make the eggs more vibrant:)

Pinterest has alot about dying eggs with Koolaid, I wonder if that would give you better results.
