Bountiful Baskets & Strawberry Jam

Every weekend we get a box from Bountiful Baskets, a co-op that supports small farms. Cool fruits and vegetables that are different each week... sometimes we don't even know what some of them are, but it is a good way to try out new things. It reminds of a farmers market in a box. Then they have add on sales and this week we ordered 5 loaves of whole wheat bread and cases of strawberries, which we promptly made into strawberry freezer jam. My favorite days are nesting at home and my mind is busy trying to figure out ways to get more of them...

Moab

Climbing the Delicate Arch and going to Goblin Valley are some of the things on Josh's wish list he has never done. It was nice going when it wasn't so hot in the season, but it felt plenty hot enough. Larry, Ash & Paul needed to stay home and were missed. We went on all sorts of hikes and I again promised myself not to be the struggling, chubby lady next summer. We found a cool campsite "Riverside Oasis" that had plenty of green grass, shade and clean HOT showers which were a dream to come back to at the end of the day.

Memories: Tin foil dinners and hotdogs. Lots of peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. Conrad loves to throw rocks and pick up sticks. He likes to do everything himself, though at the end of the Delicate Arch hike he was begging to go back to his much hated car seat for sleep. Last hike of the trip, we hiked near a stream and Conrad would quickly take off his clothes and get in the water to discover crawdads and minnows. I re-discovered my love for reading. Katie sleeping with Phoebe in the Suburban so the campground could be quiet. Eating at Zack's and watching 4 adults devour a piece of Conrad's all you can eat child's buffet pizza in four quick bites... we were starved. Conrad peeing in his baseball cap. Singing to Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond on the way home...
