UVU Bound

I was in the bathroom when I heard Kelsie shouting in the kitchen with delight. Larry was in the shower, but neither place kept us from cheering and celebrating for her. To think it had been sitting on the kitchen table, unnoticed, all day! We were just ready to call it a day when Kelsie noticed an envelope with UVU on the left hand corner. She was just awarded an Exemplary Merit Scholarship Award for Utah Valley University and is planning on going into the nursing program. A four year renewable tuition scholarship that she has worked so hard for these past years. Suddenly we weren't tired any longer, we were just enjoying Kelsie as she excitedly talked to us about her future!

I went to Parent Teacher Conference with Abby today for a couple of hours. Before talking with each teacher, she was sure to tell me what she liked and didn't like about each teacher. She was amazed I even liked who she calls the 'weird' teachers. Abby is a little more on the shy side and her goal for rest of the school year is to raise her hand in class everyday. We rewarded ourselves with an ice cream cone afterwards :)
