Snowed In

Today we woke up to snow. A lot of snow. The huge flakes drifted down all day. It was perfectly magical! By the end of the day we had 10" of new snow. I cross my fingers when it snows like this, hoping it will 'stick' to the roads. When it happens, all other plans have to be pushed aside because sledding behind the cars has such a small window of opportunity... you grab it when it's here.
Ransom's little car struggled in the snow... but luckily Josh was here to give him a push or two or ten and get him on his way. I surprised Larry and shoveled the walkways and Josie & Oliver our neighbor kids came over to help... I love those kids! We are looking forward to snow all Christmas Eve & Christmas Day XXX.
We spent part of the day with Josh's sister Katie and it was nice to get to know her better. Laura Wirth dropped by with her plates of goodies and we were in heaven, though we couldn't begin to open them until everyone was home... a deal we made long ago with each other, they are that good!

Look at all that snow! Send some to Tennessee. It hasn't snowed like that in TN since Jan 1996...I'm keeping track. Sure miss the snow, but not driving in it. Country roads are a whole different driving experience than flat straight ones..and when it snows, you stay off 'em.
