A Colonoscopy should be the birthday gift for every 50 year old. We went in at 7am for Larry's first colonoscopy. The unknown is what made him nervous. I couldn't help but notice how he tensed up every time the nurse said rectum. Can you blog that word?
The procedure took maybe 20 minutes... before we knew it, he was back by my side quietly sleeping and ... passing gas. A side affect from being filled with air. I rated the gas sounds by volumn, length and uniqueness... Larry's along with anyone else who was in close proximity. When he woke up, he was surprised that it was over, he didn't remember a thing. We brought him home and he spent the rest of the day relaxing, something he rarely does.
I was very happy that he passed with flying colors and is good to go for the next ten years :) We encourage everyone in our lives who is 50+ years to make this life-saving appointment. I was very proud of Larry... but of course I was the one that poked and prodded him to do it.
