Christmas Cheer

My guy is a sweetheart. With the busy-ness of the wedding, school and work, I gave up all hope of having lights on our house this season. This morning, I was inside puttering and heard someone on the roof and went outside to see Larry surprising me with lights... It made my heart happy. I love this man!

Half Full or Half Empty?

Last night it was all empty. After we settled for bed, Kelsie came upstairs and announced she had a corner of soggy carpet in her bedroom. It felt like a bad dream. Again. Last time this happened, it was only my sister Becky and I home with all of it's sogginess. I think all water heaters should come with an alarm system that warns you about impending leaks. We went down to look and Larry turned off the water main until morning... I shamefully went back to bed and threw a blanket over my head, leaving the soggy carpet in Larry & Kelsie's hands. Not my best self.
