A Rainy Halloween

In actuality, it was rainy and we went Trick or Treating to one home, Conrad had a poopie diaper and we went home. He really had more fun just passing out the candy in our bowl with a creepy hand that says "Happy Halloween" and filling his bag with candy. Larry made his chili, Ashlee brought the candy and Katie surprised us with yummy Black Bottom Cupcakes with cute little monster eyeball cupcake toppers she made. We are looking forward to taking pictures of the kids on a drier day.

Pictures of Katie & Phoebe a few days after her blessing. Hard to believe that she is a little over one month, yet feels like we have known her forever. We know we have. The love that children and now grandchildren bring into our lives is amazing... maybe it's because of the hope it gives us of new life and a second look at the often overlooked moments with our kids in the busy-ness of raising them. Whatever it is, I am most grateful.
