Crack the Wheel

We started our day with a birthday breakfast for Ashlee. Our last of the April Bdays. Our redhead is 29 today and has been talking about wanting to go to 'Crack the Wheel' at Harmons for the past couple of weeks, which happened to land on her Bday. So we took our birthday girl over and learned about one of our favorite go to foods... Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. They showed us how it was made, which was pretty interesting. It is only made in Parma or Reggio Emilia Italy, in the same way they have made it for 700 years. Aged two years and out of this world good. Great samples and Ashlee won a prize (helped by the fact it was her birthday!) We matched our cheese up with artisan bread and made a quick yummy lunch outside, so happy that warm weather seems to be here to stay :)

Girlfriend Party

My friends treated me to a special belated Bday dinner party at Vicki's. I think we all fell in love with the idea of a quiet dinner at home instead of a restaurant. The table was as beautiful as the meal was yummy... chicken enchiladas, tossed salad, strawberry shortcake and I am still thinking of Marci's pineapple drink. For me, it was extra wonderful spending time with my friends away from the busy-ness of life. Life is filled with many ups and downs, made more bearable by being able to share it with good friends, we know each others hearts. I love these women... thank you so much!
