Christmas Morning

I am always the first one awake. 2am this year. I made myself go back to bed. The reindeer made a mess on the porch. After checking out our stockings and playing with what Santa brought, Larry made a good breakfast, I ate almost all of my Sees candy and we went to visit Larry's parents, leaving our Christmas presents unopened until tonight. It's a tradition we started years ago thanks to my sister Bonnie and sounds strange I know, but it really feels like Christmas when we are all back in our pjs and home. This year my sister Becky crochet the most beautiful bookmarks that are perfect for our scriptures and will remind us of her through the year. We kept Christmas very simple this year...

Christmas Eve

Larry's parents came over for our Christmas Eve dinner of Baby Back Ribs and Cheesy Potatoes. I realize that I have been full since Halloween and vow to make good changes this next year... giving me time of course to finish off the leftovers :)

Afterwards, Larry talked to us about angels and the Christmas Story, then we opened our traditional presents of a Christmas book and pajamas and settled in to watch our 2008 slide show of family memories. In looking back, it is easy to see that most of our favorite memories are found near home. We are missing Katie, Ransom & Conrad this year who went to Arizona, but as quiet as it is around here...there is no family I would rather share them with than Ransom's family.
