Mom's Day

I would have to be the first to admit that Mother's Day is not my favorite day of the year... there's plenty of sadness that comes along with it and feelings of inadequacies or regrets that I'm pretty sure most Moms feel of one kind or another. But with each passing Mother's Day, I realize more and more how truly blessed I am to be the Mom of my five girls... and now two sons. Each one brings me such joy and is much loved by me. I'm still not to the point where I feel they are blessed to have me... but i am working on believing that :)

This weekend we visited our Mom's and today we stayed close to home and had a relaxing day. We celebrated me by grilling steaks and having Strawberry Shortcake. Yum!
