New Years Eve

We stayed overnight at Scott & Jill's cabin on New Years Eve. In the winter we have to snowmobile to it. We had pizza for dinner and then we went sledding behind the snowmobiles at night time. We were surprisingly the only ones out there and had the trails to ourselves, it was wonderful. People tucked away in their cabins were sure missing out on fun! Afterwards, we came inside and watched Cameron's home movies that he created and played card games to stay awake until midnight. We were all pretty tired! At midnight we drank our sodas and stayed up a bit later, then went to bed dreaming of snowmobiling & sledding in the morning, after we slept in of course :)

Take Off Time

There is no way to get around them... goodbyes are hard. Some more than others. This would be one of those. Separations are hard but they can also be strengthening. We will miss his wrestling 24/7, biscuits & gravy, talks at the kitchen counter, eggnog, Coke, sparring with Lindsey, couch pillows everywhere, 'This sounds like a decision for future Josh', the only person in the world who doesn't like chocolate, Kelsie's giggles (Josh is a giggler too though), keeping one eye on the snugglers, key lime pie in the fridge and seeing Josh so happy. We wish him the best in Michigan while he is there. We had a relaxing Christmas vacation and it was nice just staying home and puttering... much needed by our family.
