Sledding
When you are sledding with Paul, it's best to say a prayer because you know you are taking your life in your own hands. Pictures can't do it justice as we one by one give up and the next one tries to take on Paul. Tonight it was Ash, Abs and her friends Miranda & Dallen and myself. Larry wisely drove. Other than the aches & pains that come along with this, can anything be more fun?
Down Time
The best part of winter is snuggling indoors. The girls made their hut downstairs in the family room, using nearly every blanket in the house. They have loved making huts all their lives since they were pee wee small. They are constantly sleeping and watching movies under the ping pong table in their dark little cave. On the other side of the family room Kelsie & Josh found the perfect place to snuggle and take a nap as they watch House. Both are getting colds... Hmmm.

Snowed In
Today we woke up to snow. A lot of snow. The huge flakes drifted down all day. It was perfectly magical! By the end of the day we had 10" of new snow. I cross my fingers when it snows like this, hoping it will 'stick' to the roads. When it happens, all other plans have to be pushed aside because sledding behind the cars has such a small window of opportunity... you grab it when it's here.
Ransom's little car struggled in the snow... but luckily Josh was here to give him a push or two or ten and get him on his way. I surprised Larry and shoveled the walkways and Josie & Oliver our neighbor kids came over to help... I love those kids! We are looking forward to snow all Christmas Eve & Christmas Day XXX.
We spent part of the day with Josh's sister Katie and it was nice to get to know her better. Laura Wirth dropped by with her plates of goodies and we were in heaven, though we couldn't begin to open them until everyone was home... a deal we made long ago with each other, they are that good!
